Wholesale wall baskets for Australia and New Zealand

Biosecurity for plant-fibre products

Woven grass and palm-leaf goods are plant material, so they are checked on arrival by Australia’s Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry and New Zealand’s Ministry for Primary Industries. In practice that means:

• Goods must be clean and free of seeds, soil, insects, bark and other contamination. Our finishing and QC remove loose fibres and debris before packing.
• Depending on the current import conditions (Australia’s BICON database, New Zealand’s import health standards), goods may need an approved treatment such as fumigation or heat treatment, with a certificate.
• Shipments may be inspected on arrival, and any treatment or inspection fees are usually charged to the importer. On DDP orders we include them in your quote.

Before we ship, we check the current conditions for your consignment and prepare the treatment and phytosanitary certificates required. Packing uses new cartons and kraft paper, never second-hand or timber packaging.

Shipping and timing

Air express and air freight are the quickest options for smaller orders. Sea freight into Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth or Auckland suits volume orders. Allow extra time for any required treatment before dispatch.
